XTB SA has announced the launch of a new investment product, enabling clients to trade call and put options directly through its investment app. With this update, investors can now access stock options tied to shares of some of the world’s most widely traded companies, marking an expansion of XTB’s product range beyond its existing offering.
Cyprus has been selected as the first market for the rollout of the new instrument. The launch is through XTB Ltd, the group’s Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) licensed investment firm. According to the company, Cyprus will serve as a testing ground before the stock options product is gradually introduced in other jurisdictions, subject to local regulatory approvals.
In the initial phase, XTB will provide vanilla options linked to shares of the 100 most popular companies listed on U.S. exchanges. These options are here to give investors exposure to well-known global brands while using a familiar options structure. XTB has also confirmed plans to broaden the scope of the product in the near term, with vanilla options on shares of leading European companies going to be available at a later stage.
All options currently available on the XTB app are American-style and settled entirely in cash. This structure allows investors to exercise their rights without taking ownership of the underlying shares, making the instrument suitable for those focused on price movements, hedging, or strategy-based trading rather than physical share delivery.
The company stated that the introduction of options aligns with its ongoing development of the XTB investment app, with a focus on adding tools that support more advanced investment approaches. Call and put options are going to give clients additional flexibility, including ways to manage risk or express market views under different conditions.
Commenting on the launch, Filip Kaczmarzyk, Head of Trading and XTB Board Member, said that XTB has seen strong growth in recent years in both new and active clients. He noted that expanding the product range is part of the firm’s long-term aim to build a universal investment app. Kaczmarzyk added that starting in Cyprus allows XTB to refine the solution before expanding to other markets, while meeting growing demand from experienced investors seeking broader strategy and risk management tools.
