TradeStation Launches MCP Connection to Integrate AI Assistants

TradeStation Securities has announced the release of its Model Context Protocol (MCP) connection. The new connection was by its affiliate, TradeStation Technologies, Inc., and marks the firm’s first step toward integrating artificial intelligence assistants directly with its trading ecosystem.

So, the initial version of the MCP connection is to work with Claude, an AI assistant developed by Anthropic, PBC. TradeStation stated that updates are ready to extend compatibility to other widely used AI platforms, giving users more choice in how they interact with AI-powered tools.

Moreover, with the MCP connection, customers can link supported AI assistants to their TradeStation accounts, creating a new way to engage with trading tools and market data. The company noted that the exact functionality will depend on the features offered by each AI platform.

Furthermore, John Bartleman, President and CEO of TradeStation Group, Inc., said the launch reflects a shift toward more natural ways for traders to interact with technology. He explained that conversation often plays a central role in shaping ideas and decision-making, and that the MCP connection is designed to bring that dynamic into the trading experience. According to Bartleman, connecting AI assistants to TradeStation allows customers to tailor how they execute strategies and spend less time navigating tools, placing greater attention on planning and execution.

Also, TradeStation confirmed that the MCP connection is now available to eligible customers, subject to applicable account minimums and required approvals. To use Claude through the TradeStation MCP, users must hold an active Claude Pro subscription, which is directly from Anthropic.

The release highlights TradeStation’s ongoing efforts to adapt its platform as AI adoption continues to grow across financial markets, with further integrations expected as the MCP framework expands.
