Interactive Brokers has released build 10.45 (beta) of its Trader Workstation (TWS) platform, introducing updates that focus on time display flexibility, internal data processing, and changes to supported data sources.

One of the updates in this release allows users to control how Time & Sales data timestamps are displayed. Traders can now choose between viewing data in the instrument’s time zone or their own local system time. This setting can be accessed through the configuration icon located in the top-right corner of the Time & Sales window. Within the Settings menu, the option “Show data in user time zone” is enabled by default, meaning timestamps reflect the user’s local time. Disabling this option switches the display to the instrument’s native time zone.

The update also includes a modification to how deep market data order sizes are requested within the platform. With version 10.45, order sizes are now natively requested in shares instead of lots. This adjustment takes place at the system level and does not change how data appears to users. Order sizes will continue to be displayed in shares. This ensures continuity in the user interface while aligning backend processes more closely with standard market conventions.

In addition, the beta version removes support for requesting market data from the eSignal data source. Users who previously relied on eSignal within TWS will need to explore alternative supported data feeds available through the platform.

Build 10.45 forms part of ongoing updates to TWS, with an emphasis on user control and streamlined data handling without altering core functionality or workflow.
