Interactive Brokers New Redesigned IBKR GlobalTrader Mobile App

Interactive Brokers Group has announced the release of a redesigned version of its IBKR GlobalTrader mobile app, marking an update to its mobile trading lineup aimed at investors who prefer a simplified trading experience.

The latest version of IBKR GlobalTrader introduces a faster interface alongside new features that bring more market insight directly into the app. Users can now access forecast contracts from within the platform, view AI-generated news summaries, and explore a reworked Explore section designed to surface trading ideas across international markets. Through the app, investors are able to trade stocks, ETFs, options, and cryptocurrencies from a single mobile environment.

IBKR GlobalTrader is a companion to IBKR Mobile, Interactive Brokers’ primary mobile trading platform. While IBKR Mobile continues to serve active and experienced traders, GlobalTrader focuses on ease of navigation and a cleaner layout for users who want essential functionality without complexity.

Milan Galik, Chief Executive Officer of Interactive Brokers, said the app was to bring the firm’s global market access into a simpler mobile format. He noted that the platform is here to help newer investors trade across regions from one place, adding that introducing brokers have already adopted the app as a practical solution for their clients.

Moreover, the updated GlobalTrader app includes several additions across watchlists and portfolio tools. Investors can track intraday price movement through spark charts, review order history, manage funding, and use long-press controls from a single dashboard. The redesigned Explore page highlights related instruments and markets, helping users spot connections across asset classes.

Investment Themes also have linking companies, competitors, products, and regions across the S&P 1500 universe to support faster research. AI-generated news summaries are displayed on both the Explore page and individual quote screens.

Order placement has been adjusted with a new step-by-step “Focused” order view, while an advanced ticket remains available for users who want more control.

The redesigned IBKR GlobalTrader app is now available on iOS and Android devices and is seeing early uptake among introducing brokers and investors looking for a simpler mobile trading setup.
