Interactive Brokers Enhances Portal with News Summary Widget

Interactive Brokers (IBKR) has taken a step forward in enhancing the functionality of its Client Portal by introducing a new Summary widget on the Dashboard home page. This addition enables traders to access a curated news summary of the assets in their portfolio, providing a convenient way to stay informed on market developments.

The Summaries widget not only displays news related to assets currently held in a user’s portfolio, but it also allows for product-specific news browsing. Traders can search for any financial product and quickly view relevant news summaries directly on the quote page, offering a seamless experience for both casual investors and active traders.

To access the new Summaries widget, users can follow these simple steps:

• Navigate to the Menu > Home, and scroll down to the bottom of the page to locate the Summaries widget.
• Alternatively, users can search for a specific product using the Symbol or Site search box at the top of the home page. After selecting a product, they can scroll to the right-hand side to find the Summaries widget.

This update comes as part of Interactive Brokers’ ongoing efforts to improve the Client Portal. Recently, the brokerage also introduced additional features, such as overnight trading hints and the Key Profile widget for funds, which allow traders to gain deeper insights into their investments and trading strategies.
