The Bahamas Institute of FX & CFD Issuers (BIFCI) has expanded its membership with the addition of global online broker IC Markets, strengthening the industry’s collective effort to promote higher standards and regulatory cooperation in The Bahamas.
BIFCI was established earlier this year by founding members Pepperstone, Capital.com, and Trade Nation as a not-for-profit alliance representing licensed Forex and CFD brokers operating in the jurisdiction. The organization, The Bahamas, continues to attract a growing number of international online trading firms seeking a regulated offshore base for their operations.
Working closely with the Securities Commission of The Bahamas (SCB), BIFCI aims to promote consumer protection, encourage fair competition, and support the development of a transparent and well-regulated trading environment. Beyond regulatory engagement, the organization seeks to foster innovation, improve market efficiency, create local employment opportunities, and strengthen The Bahamas’ position as an international financial centre.
Announcing the new membership, BIFCI welcomed IC Markets as its latest participant, highlighting the broker’s global presence and industry reputation.
According to the organization, IC Markets’ addition reinforces BIFCI’s mission of encouraging collaboration among licensed firms while promoting best practices across the Forex and CFD sector. The institute said that bringing together regulated market participants provides an important platform for knowledge sharing, constructive dialogue, and industry leadership.
BIFCI also noted that its expanding membership will help create a stronger collective voice for the sector as it continues working with regulators and other stakeholders to support the long-term growth of the Bahamian financial services industry.
The organization expressed confidence that IC Markets’ participation will contribute to its ongoing efforts to advance transparency and strengthen confidence in the jurisdiction’s regulatory framework.
The latest addition marks another step in BIFCI’s development since its launch earlier this year, as the alliance continues to attract major international brokerage firms operating under Bahamian licenses. As membership grows, the institute is positioning itself as a key industry body representing the interests of licensed Forex and CFD providers while supporting the continued evolution of The Bahamas as a competitive global hub for online trading services.
IC Markets stands as a prominent online brokerage established in 2007, serving both retail and institutional traders with a comprehensive array of trading solutions.
