Interactive Brokers Group has announced the launch of its IBKR Lite pricing plan in Singapore, offering investors a commission-free way to trade US stocks and ETFs around the clock.
The new IBKR Lite program provides Singaporean investors with transparent, low-cost access to the US markets by eliminating commissions, platform fees, settlement fees, and account minimums. This move builds on the firm’s existing IBKR Pro plan, which leverages IB SmartRouting℠ to optimize trade execution. Clients can easily switch between Lite and Pro to match their trading strategies, with both plans granting access to Interactive Brokers’ full suite of platforms, tools, and global markets.
“We’re pleased to bring zero-commission US stock trading to investors in Singapore,” said Yujun Lin, CEO of Interactive Brokers Singapore. “With IBKR Lite, clients benefit from cost-effective access to the US markets, with zero commissions and no platform or settlement fees. This launch reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering value and a powerful trading experience to our clients worldwide.”
IBKR Lite in Singapore offers zero commissions on US stocks and ETFs, available 24 hours a day, five days a week. Investors enjoy no platform or settlement fees, ticket charges, or account minimums, along with low commissions on options, futures, and mutual funds. Participants can also take advantage of the Stock Yield Enhancement Program to earn income on fully-paid shares, competitive interest on uninvested cash balances, and low margin loan interest rates.
Singapore-based clients also gain access to over 160 global markets across multiple asset classes, including stocks, options, futures, currencies, bonds, and funds. They can trade and fund accounts in up to 28 currencies, including the Singapore Dollar (SGD), and access IBKR Desktop and IBKR GlobalTrader platforms optimized for global investing.
Additional features include overnight trading on more than 10,000 US stocks and ETFs during Asian hours, fractional share investing for flexible allocation of small cash balances, and automated recurring investments for long-term strategies. AI-powered news summaries further enhance the ability to make informed trading decisions quickly.
This launch positions Interactive Brokers as a stronger player in Singapore’s retail trading market, catering to both active traders and long-term investors seeking affordable, flexible access to global opportunities.
