XTB has received regulatory approval to manage investment portfolio in Poland, marking an expansion of the broker’s investment services, while its Spanish business offers direct cryptocurrency trading with more than 40 digital assets available.
Poland’s Financial Supervision Authority (KNF) granted XTB permission to provide portfolio management services on October 23, 2026. The authorization allows the brokerage to broaden its offering beyond its established trading products and move further into investment management.
The approval could enable XTB to serve clients seeking a more managed investment approach rather than making every investment decision themselves. It also gives the broker another avenue to develop its business beyond its traditional focus on leveraged trading products, including contracts for difference (CFDs).
Separately, XTB has expanded its cryptocurrency offering in Spain, where customers can trade more than 40 crypto assets through its platform. The service provides access to digital currencies alongside the broker’s existing range of financial instruments.
Unlike cryptocurrency CFDs, spot cryptocurrency trading involves buying and selling the underlying digital assets. This distinction gives clients a different way to gain exposure to the cryptocurrency market, although the precise ownership arrangements, custody provisions and available features depend on the broker’s product terms.
The two developments reflect XTB’s broader effort to diversify its services and accommodate different investment preferences. Portfolio management targets clients who want investment decisions handled on their behalf, while spot crypto trading offers Spanish customers another asset class through the brokerage’s platform.
However, the regulatory approval in Poland and the cryptocurrency offering in Spain represent separate developments. The KNF authorization should not be interpreted as automatically extending portfolio-management services to every market in which XTB operates. Availability remains subject to local regulatory requirements and the broker’s individual product terms.
For XTB, expanding into additional investment services could help broaden its customer proposition beyond active trading. The longer-term commercial impact will depend on client uptake, the range of portfolios offered and the broker’s ability to develop its newer services alongside its established business.
The developments add to XTB’s efforts to diversify its product range across European markets, although their financial contribution has not yet been established.
