Interactive Brokers continues to roll out improvements to its Trader Workstation (TWS) platform, with the recent release of Build 10.37 (beta), adding a new pricing column to support traders in analyzing short-term market behavior.

The highlight of this update is the introduction of the 30-Day Average Close Price column. This new feature displays the average closing price of a selected asset over the past 30 days, providing users with an additional metric to evaluate trends and volatility. By offering a broader view of historical pricing, the column helps traders identify mean-reversion opportunities or confirm the strength of ongoing price trends.

This update follows on the heels of Build 10.36, which introduced Forecast Contracts by ForecastEx, LLC for selected CME Futures. These contracts represent a new class of instruments—Forecast and Event Contracts—designed to allow traders to take positions based on the likely outcome of a specific event within the same trading day.

Unlike standard futures, these short-term instruments are settled daily and offer traders a straightforward mechanism to express their views on whether the price of a futures market will close above or below a set level by the end of the session. This type of contract is particularly appealing to day traders and market participants looking for simplified exposure to price movements without complex margin requirements or long-term commitments.

By adding both analytical tools like the 30 Day Average Close Price and innovative contract types such as Forecast Contracts, Interactive Brokers is clearly for enhancing the flexibility and functionality of TWS for a wide spectrum of traders.

With TWS already known for its powerful charting, order execution, and customizable tools, these latest upgrades further solidify Interactive Brokers’ position as a leader in providing cutting-edge trading solutions for both retail and professional clients.
