Interactive Brokers Securities Japan has significantly broadened its trading and investment offerings, now including trading in US stocks and ETFs. This enhancement aims to provide Japanese investors with greater flexibility and expanded trading capabilities. The new products feature leverage and maintain transparent, low commissions and financing rates, as stated by Interactive Brokers.

With the introduction of these new options, Japanese clients of Interactive Brokers can now engage in Contracts for Difference (CFDs) alongside their existing global stocks, options, and futures investments. CFDs enable traders to leverage their positions in US stocks and ETFs, thus enhancing their investment strategies and potential returns.

The commission structure for trading CFDs is designed to be competitive and varies by market. For US Stock CFDs, commissions start at USD 0.0055 per share. Japanese Stock CFDs are set at 0.033% of the trade value, while Singapore Stock CFDs begin at 0.121%. Other regional stock CFDs, such as those in Hong Kong, Europe, and Australia, have commissions starting at 0.055%. Additionally, Interactive Brokers offers lower rates for clients with higher trading volumes, making it an attractive option for active traders.
